i got my hair cut today, all the dead ends/fly aways. my hair feels so fucking nice. and smooth.
she didn't straighten it, just put some redken[?] mousse in it and blew it out i want to give up the hair straightener all together.
but everytime i've tried to blow out my hair its just poofy and gross :[
my hair is naturally wavy. does anyone else blow dry-straight their hair?

i do. my hair is wavy as well but the blow dryer is my best friend....have you tried drying it upside down? i always flip all my hair over so my head is upside down (bending over,facing the floor) and straighten it that way - brushing a section at a time and focusing the dryer on it. as long as i don't let my hair air dry too long it's really effective, and when i flip it back up it's all dry and smooth and straight, with a little volume as well (this is good for my finer hair). hope that helps!

Make sure you have the right attachment for your blow dryer. do it in smaller sections too.

Yeah, but I'm trying not to straighten it as well.
I find that help it not to be "poofy" is wrap it in a towl until it is no longer dripping, brush it, and then put something in it that keeps it as a hair do. scrunching helps too.

i have to straighten my hair everyday. theres no other way for me to wear my hair. my hair can't make curls, so i can't even scrunch my hair and when i try to all im left is hard hair from the gel and stuff. my ends get so dead and i get alotttt of fly-aways and my hair feels like shit most of the time, just the bottom part though. i gotta find something else to do with my hair :[
