Well..  Yea that's true.  I didn't think about that.  But I think the cops or whoever should know if the suspect has a long history of lieing to everyone all the time.  But I know sometimes that doesn't work...

Is that really a reasonable argument?  Unless the person was saying the the murderer who killed in self-defense should get the death penalty in the same way as a person that kills to kill, then you can use that argument.  But otherwise a person that kills to kill can't be compared to a lion that kills for the purpose of survival.

Of course they should be punished. But honestly, for the most part, I dont believe in the whole "an eye for an eye" view. I think many times, high security prison is the correct means of punishment. In some cases, some sort of psychological therapy. Only for mass/ serial murderers do I believe that maybe the death penalty is the right course of action.

I should have been more specific but yes, thats what I was saying. Those who kill in cold blood should get the death penalty.
