Does the Wii console allow you to play DVDs in it?

I'm still back in the early noughties with my PS2, for which any 'new' games are pants.
I want a console that offers group fun, EASSSYY (and cheap) online gaming capabilities, good games and good graphics.

I'm looking at the Wii and the xbox 360:

Which do you suggest?
Or something else??

Well group fun the wii always wins

the wii online is not brilliant but it is cheap and revetaly easy too hook up. BUT the friend codes are a pain.

good games? depends on what YOU want look at the games
