i met a nice guy randomly and added him on facebook. i'm new in town, so he said he'll show me around and he asked me for dinner and drinks does this mean its a date? i just want it to be casual and friendly for now... cos i dont like him yet. so should i make that clear? or should he have no expectations on the first time we're meeting? and if i make it clear what do i say?? btw i'm a new freshman and hes a junior

Come on girls, does it need to officially be called date or not? Like, you are with the guy and go "Ok, wait, before we take off...is this officially a date or not?" I mean, date or not, why would it matter? You are just going out to have a good time and if things NATURALLY occur, so what? Call it whatever you want, a relationship might come out of it and if not, you will have a friend you know you can have fun with and score a free movie, free meal, gifts, etc.
