2000 more points! And I still need judges.

I would happily judge should I not win, or even if I do XD

I'd love to judge this!
Gotta warn you though, it'd be my first time judging a contest, so you'd have to sort of walk me through.

Gotta warn you though, it'd be my first time judging a contest, so you'd have to sort of walk me through.

step one: choose ten entries which you think are the best.

step two: tell semibittersweet.

you can send the cheque/mail order through paypal, i don't really mind.

One of the biggest hot topics on LW is religion. So I think we should have a contest where everyone submits a short essay either defending or attacking religion. It could either be defending religion in general or a specific religion. In theory someone could post an essay trying to disprove one specific religion. This is needed, because there needs to be a central, organized debate on religion.  I say this so people who attack either side with no logic, e.i. "Religion is for retards."  "No, atheism is." From spoiling the posts

One other idea.  I don't know if it's possible for LW to draw randomly, and this is a little early.  When the MLB playoffs draw near, make a pool.  Predict the division winners and wildcard teams, then the pennant winners, then the World Series champion.  I don't know if people would flock to it, but it's an idea

Hidden within this wonderful little 585x299 box are different things. One says 'livewire'. Another is a teddy bear. Like The I-Spy contest, there are images hidden within the image, only this time, the object is to be as discreet as possible and the entry is made by those who enter. The goal is to 'beat' the judges, essentially.

Using every tool you can possibly use, the entry has to have four hidden items - there are no maximums, no minimums - only four. The job of the judge is, of course, to find these four. Depending on how difficult it is for the judges to find the hidden images/text - it will be rated on a scale - points are alloted.

If the judges are unable to find the images, bonus points are alloted. If every judge except one finds the image, one point. If every judge but two, two points. For every item, bonus points are up for grabs if they're earned.

semibittersweet will receive each entry from the contestants, where there will be indicators or explanations as to where the hidden images/texts are. As a result, she will not participate, but will act as more of a 'referee' than anything else - to make sure it's completely fair and those bastards aren't entering an entry where a single pixel is hidden behind a black background.

Point System:
FIRST ASPECT:
Judge's opinion on the difficulty level. Five points for most difficult, zero points for least.
SECOND ASPECT:
Artsy. If it's nice-looking and well-put together (and hidden!), five points. If it looks like shit, zero.
THIRD ASPECT:
Bonus points, mentioned above:
"If the judges are unable to find the images, bonus points are alloted. If every judge except one finds the image, one point. If every judge but two, two points. For every item, bonus points are up for grabs if they're earned."

PS: I'm able to be bought out to make entries, so really, expensive equipment isn't required.

PPS: Entries can be made on anything - a landscape, a picture of a hallway, art - anything that is an image.
