It's not allowed on LW unless it's linked. We're not allowing nudity on the servers. Period. But nude art is OK if it's linked and on topic.

Correct, but the moderators do not accurately represent the views of all LiveWire members, which is who major decisions (like this one) will effect.

So, for this particular issue,
Population = 172913 total members
(and that is exaggerated because at least half of those members are no longer active and therefore wouldn't be affected by the new rules)
Therefore, sample size = √172913 ≈ 416 members

Of course, I don't expect such a rigorous consultation process. I'm just pointing out how much of an exaggeration 87, 000 is. I don't even want a vote, because that would produce quantitative data, which wouldn't be helpful in telling moderators/admins why members think the decision should/shouldn't be made, or how it could be improved. I just would have liked an opportunity for members to present their opinions and suggestions on the proposed decision.

There were some topics discussing that subject when the 'three musketeers' decided to take matters into their own hands. This announcement is the result of that rebellion. I'm not even sure that a majority of the Mods agree with this result.
