You're correct. It will be the GXP model and also have upgraded brakes and will, so I hear, have a touchscreen versus that cheesey screen with buttons around it that's in all the GT's now.

why is this ?

Just a personal preference especially with a "sports" car I don't think you need a computer to change the gears for you. I'd go for the G8 the car overall has more of my taste.
