id say most people who 'suck at math' just arent interested in training themselves to think a different way, its beyond just 'learning' the maths. and i can understand why, seriously, the shits boring as fuck. but honestly, they slap anyone with this shit if theyre lagging behind in school. tons of people hate it or just dont think that way (for many reasons)
I think you might be right that most have the ability and just aren't applying it, but some of us really truly struggle and try and still can't get it. I haven't heard of this disability and am not sure if I have it or not. I can do well if I have example problems right in front of me, but once I'm given a test or a quiz I completely forget how to do a problem if I can't look at sample problems for guidance. And then I completely forget what I learned a few days later. I can't do word problems at ALL. I truly struggle with math and it sucks that people can't understand that because most people seem to do okay in it.
