Why is the US entitled to earlier release dates than the EU?

Seriously... It's crazy! and becoming a bit of a problem for me now... For example mercenaries 2 is coming out on the 31st of August... in the US. Where as in the UK it arrives at 5th September!

Ok, so i guess i can wait a week, but why should i? Why can't they release it at the same day?

I do enjoy getting games before the release dates. As soon as they come in stocks i can usually get a copy. But since I've moved houses i can't really do that anymore.

Ya know what i had to do? I went on the US Ebay and bought the game of there. I was looking through pages and pages of sales to find the game which will be released early. I had to pay $75 for that. (which i guess ain't that bad) with an extra $20 for postage to the UK. Then they messaged me telling me it will take 10 business days! that's 2 fucking weeks! It would of arrived in the UK by then! I had to pay an extra $20 so i can receive it in the next 5 working days.

That's $115 for a single fucking PS3 game, so i can get it what? 2 days early? See... would be easier to release it at the same dates...

PAL and NTSC conversion? Ummm... Maybe it's a game made in the U.S. In simple words, it comes to the country of creation first, then other regions.

The US is easier to localize for. Europeans need versions that get by the censors and angry mums in every country because they like to get offended by video games too.

America is probably a bigger market. And most games are North American made.

Why is this even a relevant question?

Why does the EU receive shit before other continents?

I seriously donno. If the game was made in the US then that's a reasonable excuse, but still, if it's in the same language they should be released on the same date.

I shouldn't have to wait my turn. I think release dates should be the same for everyone, despite of their country. It's probably not PAL conversion. The games are usually finished a few weeks before release dates. And besides, a PAL and NTSC work on all HD tvs. Anyways i'm tired, and am most likely talking nonsense, with the majority of limewire laughing at my post!

It is very complicated, but as touched on about it is about localisation. More languages to translate into, Some country specific laws to comply with. Then there is the distribution of them game itself.

i thought everybody knew this. It makes sense. Not every french or Spanish person can understand English, so they need to be translated. The UK is not that big of a market so they don't realise it here at the same time as US
