I linked to LW from my site (page rank 4) and validated it. It says:
If your page has a ranking of 4... you will earn 100 reward points PLUS $3.50 in advertising dollars each week.
...so my question is: Does anyone know how LW pays you? Like PayPal or what?

The advertising dollars go into your advertising fund, not something that you can remove from LiveWire or use to fund a donation for sustainer-ship or something like that.
Click on the Ad-Manager on the sidebar and you can find out how to upload banners to advertise something (like your site) on LiveWire. That's what the money can be used for.
