How it Works:

The LiveWire Writing contest will start off in this thread. You will post your piece of work with the necessary information (I'll describe that in a little bit). The posting will go on until August 1st, 2008. You've got a lot of time, a little over a month, so perfect your work! Make it amazing before you press submit. Then, four judges and I will each pick two favorites of ours (the judges will message me their favorites). These favorites will be forwarded into a new page. They will each be posted again in the topic, and there will be a vote. It won't be a pole, since those are pretty easy to cheat. We'll pick the top 3 from the vote. A final voting topic will be posted with those 3 pieces. They will be voted on, and sorted into first, second, and third places. Points will be awarded to all finalists, and the first place winner's piece will be reposted in all of its glory.

How do I submit?

Here's the format you should use for entering:

This format will ensure that we have all of the necessary information to judge.

RULES!!!

• You MAY NOT post anybody else's work and if you are caught doing so you will be immediately disqualified.
  
• You MAY post work that has been written prior to the contest.
  
• You MAY NOT post work that has been professionally published/has won awards and has a chance of publication.
  
• Works without the correct submission format WILL NOT be considered. You will be notified of the problem and given the chance to repost it.
  
• Posting works containing anything against LiveWire's Guidelineswill result in immediate and permanent disqualification. Post wisely.  
  
• ANY mockery of the work of another member is prohibited, and will result in immediate and permanent disqualification.
  
• You MAY NOT edit your post once it is submitted. As Shakespeare wrote,

Judges :

Message me if you'd like to be a judge. Judges cannot participate in the contest. To be a judge you must be a member with...

• ...at least 100 days active
  
• ...a rank of executive or higher
  
• ...Support leader status (please don't argue with me on this one, it's simply that I trust SLs to be more responsible). Tech or Peer is fine.
  
• ...a fairly clean record

A older man, middle aged Caucasian man, body structure use to be muscular, but has now faded away, wearing black spandex with a C on it. He has a mask in his hands, and while putting it on, his thoughts are heard to the audience
*My name, is Dan Smith...and I use to be..a hero...that is, until I quit....cause I couldn't face what I had to do next*
Dan poses in the mirror
*Flashes back to Dan fighting crime, against a man with a clock on his chest. Dan, young and full of life, shouts at the man*

"CHRONO! your reign of terrorizing time ends today!"

"Bah Chrono! If I can't stop you today I'll kill you at your weakest!" Chrono said, throwing a bomb down. Crow looks at the room around him, and then walks away.

*newspapers shown, saying "WHERE HAS THE CROW GONE!?*

*His teammates, in the League of Champions, look at him*

"Is this really what you want?" Adam Amazing asks him, floating above the table. Crow nods and walks out fo the cave

*58 years later*

"I'm 80 years old now. I haven't fought crime in years." He says as he walks on the roof. *And today is my last day of living....*

On the roof, Dan looks at his opponent. Dr Chrono, as young as he was in 1950. "Ready to DIE!? Chrono asked, smiling evilly. "Yes" was all Dan Smith said before Jumping at Chrono, tearing off his time gear, and plunging them off the fifty foot story building they stood atop

"ARE YOU CRAZY!? You'll kill us BOTH SMITH!" Chrono shouted. Dan Smith/The Crow nodded

*I quit that day cause I knew what I had to do..and that was the end of my being a hero*

*Cut to Dan Smith/The Crow ont eh ground, sprawled out with a smile on his face, and Chrono face down, dead*
