Because we're retarded. No, seriously...I heard that it's because we're Division I sports...which means that we would be playing against UCLA and USC (who are REALLY good!) and we'd lose in no-time flat. Well, that's what I heard.

 We've got a football team...sort of.  We compete against schools such as Galudet (the deaf school).
 Our field is worse than any high school field I've ever seen.
 It's no matter, though, because our basketball team is pretty good and they play in the Patriot Center--a major venue for sporting and concert events in the area.
 How many students does Riverside have anyway?
