There is a pretty good change they will do SOMETHING do your computer, whether it be enough to annoy you I'm not sure. But there is always that risk.

My computer? Probably not. I run on a Mac, so I feel comfortable whilst on the web, regardless of the site. 99.99% of junk/spyware/spam is targeted at the PC user, so you have very little chance of being effected on a Mac.

You're probably running some risk with a PC. I would have a separate partition of windows, or even a separate computer for porn, if I were you. I do. It makes life easier.

uhh.... no..... other than take up space, and RAM, getting porn the smart was does nothing harmful to your computer.

well It depends. Some websites give you pop-ups wwhich if u click it leads to a virus...some websites automatically gives you a virus.. files you download sometimes give you a crappy video which has hidden spyware etc.....

Pictures..I rather just have you google them up unless you got a trusted site where many go to. I just go to forums to get my sites so i know its safe.

the smart way would be paying for it. but the free movie clips you get from movie posts ect. those carry spyware to record keystrokes and other various little things they might use to steal your information.

Actually I really think they can. I have already had to see some cookies and files around my computer that had adult material names in them, including in scan reports, as well as browsing around the computer. The type I go for, doesn't do that to me, but when I didn't know what sort of material I liked, it sort of became common.

Some movies had a habit of requiring licences, especially all of those which you get off limewire. That left me annoyed that I downloaded all of that for nothing. I should try and get a program that strips those off the file some time.

Ever since I got older and took control of this computer with great knowledge, I don't think I have heard of a proper case of something like that.

Downloading the porn does run a risk of getting your computer infected, as the files may contain viruses or spyware/adware/malware, especially if you are getting it from a p2p program. Browsing websites can get your computer, but again it depends on the site. If you want to protect yourself, get firefox, and install an extension called Mcafee Site Advisor.
